The Making of a Deathbed follows a playwright, Sylvia (Noah Austin Lopez) who is unable to finish the last scene of their play. As opening night approaches, Sylvia and their tight knit cast of actors, replay dreams and nightmares of the past, float in a sea of grief, and ultimately collaborate in the making of a Deathbed.

From beginning to end, this film production has mixed improvised acting, directing, camerawork, and — naturally — editing as well. A story of actions and reactions that weaves through this production. Over five years or re-writes, production stops, and production starts, this story truly took form over just two weeks. When two filmmakers and five actors took up residence in the Marblehead Little Theatre, rehearsed a play and made a film.
